The best way to go to Sapa from Hanoi is to take the trains. Most of the tourists
who visit Sapa travel from Hanoi Railway Station to Lao Cai Station (a town at the
border with China, separated by the Red River and the other side is the town of
Hekou of China) by night trains. Night trains is the best option because it saves
time and money for two nights of accommodations. The train runs along the Red
River. All trains leave in the evening from Hanoi and arrive at Lao Cai train
station in the early morning. Trains also leave in the evening from Lao Cai and
arrive in the morning in Hanoi.
Traveling within Sapa: Sapa is a small town and you can do anywhere on foot.
You are also not likely to get lost. You can equip yourself with a simple map in
case you are doubtful.
Trekkers should come armed with good shoes, rubber boots, and a stout walking
stick. It is also a good idea to carry clothes in a waterproof bag. Remember, the
rice fields can be muddy and you need to be cautious while crossing these.
The altitude can prove to be quite a challenge even to the physically fit and hardy,
especially when climbing steep mountain slopes. Some tourists rent a bike, but this
can end up being an adventure sport, since you face hazards from others on the
road, and at times from the road itself, because of landslides or washed-out parts.
This is especially true during the rainy season.

Conclusion
11
Public transport in Hanoi is limited to buses, which are extremely cheap, but
slow, crowded and a challenge for non-Vietnamese speakers. There are plenty
of taxis to be hired and this is the safest and easiest way to get across the city,
but make sure the meter is switched on and change is given. Motorbike taxis
are also a cheap and easy way to get around, but the driving can be nerve-
wracking. Renting a car or a motorbike are also popular options; all cars come
with a driver/guide, which is a good idea considering the chaotic nature of the
streets. Visitors should be cautious about renting a self-drive motorbike,
bearing in mind the primary cause of injury and death among foreigners in
Vietnam is due to motorcycle accidents. Two-seater cyclos (cycle rickshaws)
are plentiful and can be flagged down anywhere, but should be avoided at
night. Fares should be negotiated beforehand and a map is useful, as many
drivers don't speak English.
To go to Sapa from Hanoi, there are many kinds of transportation. But the best
transport is train. Nowadays, the economic is developing, the routes in Sapa are
widened to service for tourists in country as well as in other country in the
world. Sapa is really best attractive destination in Viet Nam.
